West Ham transfer news: Hammers emerge as surprise contenders to sign Arsenal and Tottenham target Ivan Perisic

West Ham have become the latest Premier League club to register their interest in Croatia star Ivan Perisic, reports claim.

The Inter Milan winger is reportedly wanted by Arsenal and Tottenham, while Manchester United have been linked with him for several years.

The Gunners tried and failed to sign the 30-year-old in January – Perisic handed in a transfer request after Inter rejected Arsenal’s loan proposal.

Inter are keen to shift the 30-year-old, but they are more interested in a permanent switch than a loan deal.

Arsenal were reluctant to meet the Serie A club’s asking price, and according to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, the Hammers are willing to spend £35million in an attempt to outbid their London rivals.

After starring at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, Perisic has impressed for the Nerazzurri this season, scoring seven goals and providing eight assists in all competitions.
