Luka Milivojevic is closing in on becoming the Premier League’s all-time penalty king – with the Crystal Palace midfielder now just one behind club legend Andy Johnson.
Milivojevic, 28, has scored 10 of his 11 penalties so far this season for the Eagles – most recently scoring his side’s winner from the spot against Newcastle on Saturday.
Johnson, who remains a firm fans favourite at Selhurst Park, scored 12 from the spot in the 2004/05 campaign.
The Serbian’s total so far sees him lie joint second in the rankings for the most penalties scored in a Premier League season, alongside Steven Gerrard (2013/14), Frank Lampard (2009/10) and Alan Shearer (1994/95).
Elsewhere, Manchester United favourite Ruud Van Nistelrooy is third in the table after notching eight penalties in the 2002/03 campaign as the Red Devils secured an eighth Premier League crown.
