Luka Milivojevic is closing in on becoming the Premier League’s all-time penalty king – with the Crystal Palace midfielder now just one behind club legend Andy Johnson.


Milivojevic, 28, has scored 10 of his 11 penalties so far this season for the Eagles – most recently scoring his side’s winner from the spot against Newcastle on Saturday.

Johnson, who remains a firm fans favourite at Selhurst Park, scored 12 from the spot in the 2004/05 campaign.


The Serbian’s total so far sees him lie joint second in the rankings for the most penalties scored in a Premier League season, alongside Steven Gerrard (2013/14), Frank Lampard (2009/10) and Alan Shearer (1994/95).


Elsewhere, Manchester United favourite Ruud Van Nistelrooy is third in the table after notching eight penalties in the 2002/03 campaign as the Red Devils secured an eighth Premier League crown.

In regards to the personnel who have won the most penalties this season, another Palace is top of the tree with just five games remaining for the south Londoners.


Wilfried Zaha, the club’s creative lynchpin, has won six penalties in the Premier League so far this season, with Mohamed Salah (four), Callum Wilson (three) and Danny Ings (three) the other notable individuals on that list.
