Barcelona have wished Mohamed Salah a speedy recovery after discovering injury would prevent him playing against them on Tuesday night.
The Premier League’s top scoring player has been ruled out of the Champions League second semi-final second leg with concussion.
Salah was left motionless following a sickening collision with goalkeeper Martin Dubravka during Liverpool̢۪s narrow 3-2 win over Newcastle on Saturday, a match in which he scored.
The 26-year-old injury could not have happened at a worse time, with Liverpool needing to overturn a 3-0 deficit against Barcelona, at Anfield.
Despite Salah’s absence increasing their opponent’s chances of progressing to the final, the LaLiga champions posted a classy tweet to the stricken attacker.
