Vincent Janssen will not be available for Tottenham tonight despite Mauricio Pochettino bringing the Dutchman in from the cold in recent weeks.
Janssen, signed from AZ Alkmaar for £18m in 2016, had been completely frozen out by Pochettino this season.
But the Dutchman has returned to the Spurs ranks in recent weeks and featured in their Premier League clashes against Brighton and West Ham.
Tottenham take on Ajax in the Champions League semi-finals tonight and will be without forwards Harry Kane and Son Heing-min.
Janssen, however, will not be getting another taste of European football this evening.

Why is Vincent Janssen not playing tonight?
Janssen won’t face Ajax as he is not registered for Tottenham’s Champions League squad.
As well as being out of Pochettino’s plans for much of the campaign, Spurs also had an overload of foreign players in their ranks when they selected who would feature in Europe.
Teams can pick 25 players for the competition but must have a certain number of ‘locally trained players’ due to UEFA rules.
As Spurs didn’t meet the criteria, their maximum squad size was reduced and Janssen, Juan Foyth and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou missed out.
Foyth has now been named in the ranks following Mousa Dembele’s departure but there remains no room for Janssen while Nkoudou is now out on loan.
