Paul Pogba’s potential move to Real Madrid is delaying Tottenham Hotspur’s potential move for Lyon wonderkid Tanguy Ndombele, according to reports.
The Manchester United midfielder has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford for almost the entirety of past year, with Spain seemingly the most likely destination.
Los Blancos are desperate to make the World Cup winner their poster boy for the next generation of Galactico’s at the Bernabeu.
But according to L’Equipe, the fact the deal is currently at a sticking point means Lyon superstar Tanguy Ndombele is also in a state of flux.
The midfielder has drawn admiring glances of some of the biggest clubs in the world, with a move expected this summer.
And L’Equipe claim United are currently behind European and domestic rivals in the race for Ndomberle’s signature, having identified the 22-year-old as a potential Pogba replacement.
The report states both Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham have submitted bids for the midfielder, but is is suggested United may well enter the bidding should their own star midfielder leave.
Pogba has openly flirted with a move to Real, with the Manchester United star saying back in March: “At the moment I’m happy in Manchester. I play. There’s a new coach.
“Real Madrid is one of the biggest clubs in the world. I’ve always said it is a dream club for every player.”
As reported by talksport.com. Leeds United's promotion hopes took a big blow on Good Friday as they lost a 2-1 lead at home to ten-man Wigan. Meanwhile Norwich salvaged a late 2-2 draw against Sheffield Wednesday and Bolton Wanderers were relegated by a 2-0 home loss to Aston Villa.
