Joao Felix is the talk of the transfer market right now.
The Benfica wonderkid has been making waves in the Primeira Liga this season, netting 13 goals and adding seven assists in 23 matches.
Inevitably his stellar form has amped up speculation on his future, with a whole host of top European clubs reportedly pining for his signature.
The latest odds suggest it is Wolves who are second favourites to sign Felix – behind Serie A champions Juventus.
West Ham, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly also in contention, but none of the Premier League giants are as close as Nuno’s men.
But how could the young playmaker line-up at his potential suitor? talkSPORT.com has assessed the current crop of interested parties to see where he would slot in.
LATEST FOOTBALL NEWS
Wolves
Felix could be the next in a series of Portugal stars to ply their trade at Molineux – and it’s safe to say he would slot in nicely in their set-up.
He could be used in their midfield three alongside compatriots Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho.
With his eye for a pass and knack of picking up goals, could Felix be the man to propel the Wanderers into the top six next term?
Paris Saint-Germain
Felix has also been mooted as PSG’s next big summer signing and he would have some illustrious company if he was to move to the French capital.
He could join the French champions’ blistering attack, sitting behind the front three of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Di Maria as the orchestrator in the middle
West Ham
It would be an extraordinary coup if the Hammers managed to sign Felix, demonstrating their intent to compete with the big boys.
And he would fit in nicely in front of the likes of Mark Noble and Declan Rice in midfield.
He could also provide service to target man Marko Arnautovic and form a good relationship with fellow Portuguese-speaker and tricky winger Felipe Anderson on the wing.
Manchester United
The Red Devils are in serious need of an overhaul in the summer with a lot of the current crop simply not good enough.
Felix could be the player they build their team around as he has talent in abundance.
With Juan Mata on his way out of Old Trafford this summer, Felix could be the perfect replacement for years to come.
He may also be the marquee signing that can convince Paul Pogba to stay at the club.
Juventus
Many thought Juventus were had finally found the missing piece of the Champions League puzzle when they signed Cristiano Ronaldo, but they once again fell short in their bid to triumph in Europe for the first time since 1996.
However, they are the club who are favourites to sign Felix and the dime who has lit up Portuguese football could do what Ronaldo couldn’t and help the Old Lady to glory in Europe’s elite competition.
The teenager could slot into their formation in an attacking midfield role, dovetailing with compatriot Ronaldo and alternating positions, Miralem Pjanic and Blaise Matuidi can be uilised as the more defensive midfielders, allowing Felix to come in, while width would be provided by Alex Sandro and Juan Cuadrado at wing-back.
